I am steadily working towards completing the famed 1952 Topps set of 407 cards. Larger than most of the era and filled with a mix of stars and obscure players, it offers a nice cross section of a time that defined much of how we view baseball today. It is almost always on the short list of most influential sets, marking the first regular appearance of baseball statistics on cards. The set exhibits a pull that continues to attract collectors 70 years after it debuted.
